GP Practice Level Reporting

GP Practice Level Reporting allows staff at GP practices in England and Wales to access audit reports which are specific to their GP Practice.

Data that has been extracted for COPD April 2015 - March 2017 is currently being analysed and the practice level reports developed. As we at NHS Digital  no longer work on these reports could you contact and they will be able to advise you of release dates and any further information that you need.

What is GP Practice Level Reporting

GP Practice Level Reporting is a system that has been developed by the Health and Social Care Information Centre's (HSCIC) Clinical Audit and Registries Management Service. It uses the Clinical Audit Platform (CAP) to allow users to register and log in to view GP Practice specific reports in a secure manner.

What reports are available?

GP Practice Level Reports are only currently being produced for the following national clinical audit. 

  • National Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Audit Programme: Primary Care (Wales)

GP Practice Level Reports may be available for other audits in the future.

How do I access GP Practice Level reports?

In order for staff at your practice to be able to access the GP Practice Level Reports available in CAP, aGP from the practice should identify a 'Nominated User' from the practice to be appointed by using the email template link available in step 2 of the pdf icon Getting Started Guidance [205kb]. The e-mail should then be sent from the GP's e-mail address to

This 'Nominated User' person will be able to administer local users at the practice, ensuring all those who need to be able to download the reports are able to do so, without having to submit further requests to the HSCIC Contact Centre.
